Michael Lindsell

Joint Founder & Portfolio Manager

Michael co-founded Lindsell Train Limited in 2000 and is the firm’s Chief Executive. He is the portfolio manager for Japanese equity portfolios and jointly manages Global equity portfolios. Michael has over 40 years’ experience in investment management. Before founding Lindsell Train he spent seven years at GT Management, first as CIO in their Tokyo office, then in London with responsibility for all GT’s global and international funds. Following the acquisition of GT by Invesco in 1998 he was appointed head of the combined global product team. His previous experience included working at Mercury Asset Management where he was director and head of Japanese fund management in London; at Scimitar Asset Management in Hong Kong where he ran Pacific and Japanese mandates; and at Lazard Brothers as an investment manager. Michael has a degree in Zoology from the University of Bristol.

Nick Train

Joint Founder & Portfolio Manager

Nick co-founded Lindsell Train Limited in 2000 and is the firm’s Chairman. He is the portfolio manager for UK equity portfolios and jointly manages Global equity portfolios. Nick has over 40 years’ experience in investment management. Before founding Lindsell Train he was head of Global Equities at M&G Investment Management, having joined there in 1998 as a director. Previously he spent 17 years at GT Management where his final role was as Chief Investment Officer for Pan-Europe, having built long investment track records in both UK and Global equities. Nick has a degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford.

James Bullock

Director, Portfolio Manager

James joined Lindsell Train in 2010 and is a portfolio manager. He has jointly managed global equity portfolios since 2015 and is responsible for the North American Equity Fund. He has a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and a doctorate in Zoology from the University of Cambridge.

Madeline Wright

Deputy Portfolio Manager, UK Equities

Madeline joined Lindsell Train in 2012 and was promoted to Deputy Portfolio Manager in 2019.  Madeline has a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford and previously spent a semester as a visiting student at Yale University. After leaving Oxford, she studied in Japan for a year where she learnt to speak the language to a high standard.

Alexander Windsor-Clive

Deputy Portfolio Manager, North American Equities

Alexander joined Lindsell Train in 2016 and was promoted to Deputy Portfolio Manager in 2021.  Alexander has a degree in History from the University of Bristol.

Ben joined Lindsell Train in 2019 and was promoted to Deputy Portfolio Manager in 2023. Ben has a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.

Michael Lim

Director, Company Secretary & IT

Michael joined Lindsell Train in 2001 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and was appointed Director in 2010. He stepped down as COO in early 2022 and is Lindsell Train's Company Secretary and responsible for the firm’s IT functions. Michael has over 30 years’ management experience in finance, securities operations and compliance, having worked in senior management positions for international brokerage institutions Sun Hung Kai (London) and Tai Fook Securities (London). Michael holds a degree in Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Joss Saunders

Director, Chief Operating Officer

Joss joined Lindsell Train in 2021 as Chief Operating Officer – designate, and was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) in early 2022.  He has over 20 years’ experience in investment management. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Ernst & Young’s Audit division in 2001, Joss moved to Henderson Global Investors as a Senior Business Analyst and then in 2004 to Barclays Global Investors (BGI). By the time he left in 2011 he was COO for the UK institutional business of BlackRock following its takeover of BGI. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2011, first as Director of Overseas Finance, then as a Director within their Investment Operations and finally as COO and Finance Officer of their European entity. Joss has a BA honours degree in Economics with French and an MSc in Corporate & International Finance, both from Durham University. He passed the Investment Management Certificate in 2003.

Jessica Cameron

Director, Head of Marketing & Client Services

Jessica joined Lindsell Train in 2018 and was appointed Head of Marketing & Client Services in February 2024. She has over 15 years’ experience in the investment management field.  Prior to joining Lindsell Train she worked at Longview Partners (2011 – 2018) within the Institutional Clients team and was also a board director for Longview’s Luxembourg funds. She started her career in 2007 at BlackRock, where she worked as a product specialist on the London based Global Equity team and before that as a member of the Global Consultant Relations team. Jessica has a degree in Modern History from the University of St Andrews. She is an Investment Committee member of the University of St Andrews Investment & Treasury Assurance Group (ITAG), which is responsible for the University’s endowment funds.

Jane Orr

Non-Executive Director

Jane served as an Executive Director for Lindsell Train Limited up until her retirement in March 2023, after which she agreed to join the board as a Non-Executive Director.  Jane joined Lindsell Train in 2007 to lead Marketing and Client Services, was appointed a Director in 2010, and more recently worked part time on a consultative basis for our company, as well as being responsible for firmwide communications.  Jane has over 30 years’ experience in the investment management field and has held a number of senior marketing positions with institutional investment management firms, including Genesis Investment Management, GMO and PDFM (now UBS Global Asset Management). Jane has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford and is qualified as an Associate Member of The Society of Investment Analysts (now CFA).

Jin Hei Philips

Head of North American Marketing & Client Services

Jin joined Lindsell Train in 2022 as Head of North American Marketing & Client Services, and is based in Dallas, Texas. Jin has over 15 years’ experience of working in financial markets and with institutional investors. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, Jin was a Vice President at eVestment, a part of Nasdaq, where she collaborated with global asset managers on new business and client retention strategy. She previously worked at Newton Investment Management in a variety of institutional distribution roles, including co-heading the North American business and leading strategic partnerships in the UK and EMEA. Prior to joining Newton, she was a Director in the Large Institutional Client Group at Barclays Global Investors and started her career at Cambridge Associates in Boston and London. Jin graduated from Mount Holyoke College  with a BA in Economics.

Mathew McNeill

Chief Compliance Officer

Mathew joined Lindsell Train in 2020. He has over 16 years’ experience in financial services, 15 of those in dedicated compliance roles. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, he worked for three years as an independent consultant in senior compliance roles with clients including Royal London Asset Management, Quilter, M&G Prudential and Merian Global Investors. He previously worked as a Compliance Manager with Vanguard Asset Management and in the Regulatory & Operational Risk Team at Aegon Asset Management.  He started his compliance career in 2007 with Aberdeen Asset Management. Mathew has a degree in History and Politics from the University of Strathclyde.

Julian Bartlett

Non-Executive Director

Julian joined the board of Lindsell Train Limited in 2020 and chairs the Risk and Compliance Committee. Julian is a qualified chartered accountant and had a 30 year executive career in audit and advisory services, specialising in the financial services sector. From 2007 to 2017 he was a financial services audit partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, including six years as investment management sector leader. Prior to joining Grant Thornton on their merger with RSM Robson Rhodes, Julian worked for 15 years at Deloitte.  He is also a non-executive director and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Invesco Pensions Limited, non-executive chair of Invesco Fund Managers Limited and a non-executive and Audit Committee chair of Triple Point Venture VCT plc.

Josh Ausden

Head of Wholesale Marketing & Client Services

Josh joined Lindsell Train in 2022 and works within the Marketing & Client Services team, focusing on the wholesale market. He has over 10 years’ experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Lindsell Train he worked at Somerset Capital Management (2018 – 2022) where he was Head of UK Distribution, and Neptune Investment Management (2015 – 2018) where he was Head of Client Investment Strategy. Josh started his career as a journalist at FE Trustnet (2010 – 2015) where he held roles as Editor and Head of Content. He has a degree in English Literature from Durham University.

Jon Lamb

Marketing & Client Services

Jon joined Lindsell Train in 2021 within the Marketing & Client Services team. He has over 15 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, Jon spent nine years at Willis Towers Watson, initially within the manager research teams before helping to launch and grow the firm’s new investment platform, the Asset Management Exchange (AMX), from 2015. He performed a wide number of roles during his time at AMX, encompassing sales, commercial negotiation, and product development, and was also a member of several committees, including the Risk Committee and New Business Committee. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Jon spent six years in fiduciary management within a fund of hedge funds.  Jon obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Management, and a master’s degree in Economics for Development, both from the University of Oxford. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Kirsty Banks

Marketing & Client Services

Kirsty joined Lindsell Train in 2009 and works within the Marketing & Client Services team, focusing on client services and communications. She has over 20 years’ experience working in client services/investor relations. Prior to joining Lindsell Train she worked at Moody’s Investor Services, Cazenove and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Kirsty has a degree in Combined Studies from the University of Nottingham.

Chandni Bhatt-Thakrar

Compliance Analyst

Chandni joined Lindsell Train in 2023 as a Compliance Analyst. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, Chandni has held a range of compliance roles within financial services, including Troy Asset Management, ABN AMRO, and IQ-EQ. Chandni started her career in 2014 working for a wealth management firm. Chandni has a bachelor’s degree in politics from Queen Mary and an LLB (Hons) from BPP Law School. She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI).

Richard Lambert

Risk & Projects Manager

Richard joined Lindsell Train in March 2022 as a Business Analyst and was appointed as Risk and Projects Manager in June 2023.  Richard reports to Lindsell Train’s COO, with a dotted reporting line to the Chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee (an Independent Non-Executive Director of Lindsell Train Limited).  Richard has over 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry.  Most recently, prior to joining Lindsell Train, Richard was an Independent Consultant to a financial services firm.  Prior to that, Richard held several senior positions in operations, including working as Senior Operations Manager at Henderson Global Investors, Partner and Head of Operations at NewSmith Asset Manager LLP, and Head of Investment Operations at Fiera Capital Europe, where he also served as a Director of the Fiera Capital Isle of Man Investment Management Board.

Kodorul Amin

Financial Controller

Kodorul joined Lindsell Train in 2023 as Financial Controller. He has over 14 years’ experience in Investment Management. Prior to joining Lindsell Train he was the Finance and Operations Director at GO Investment Partners. Kodorul is a qualified accountant and graduated from University of Westminster with a BSc in Accounting and Business Management.

Edward Smith

Finance Analyst

Edward joined Lindsell Train in 2015 and works within Operations, with a broad range of responsibilities including trade analysis, client reporting and performance. Prior to joining Lindsell Train he worked at Equiniti Financial Services in the Corporate Actions department. Edward has a degree in Business Studies from Northumbria University, Newcastle Business School where he was awarded the Most Outstanding Student for Entrepreneurship. He also holds the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC).

Anh Hoang

Head of Operations

Anh joined Lindsell Train in 2022 as a Senior Operations Analyst and was promoted to Head of Operations in October 2023. He has over 15 years’ experience in the investment management field, with a focus on fund accounting, performance calculations and project management. Prior to joining Lindsell Train he held a range of operational roles at investment firms including Columbus Point LLP, Oldfield Partners LLP and State Street Global Advisors. Anh has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science from South Bank University.

Krzysztof Duda

Operations Analyst

Krzysztof joined Lindsell Train in 2022 and works within Operations. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, he worked at Colchester Global Investors and State Street, where he was responsible for managing trade lifecycles across various products, and process enhancements.  Krzysztof has a master’s degree in Economics from the Cracow University of Economics.

Gideon joined Lindsell Train in 2022 and works within the Operations team. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, he held operational and administrative roles within the Pensions sector. Gideon has a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sheffield.

Aaron Obahiagbon

Marketing & Client Services

Aaron joined Lindsell Train as an intern with the Marketing & Client Services team in 2021 before progressing to a permanent position in 2022. Prior to that, he gained broad work experience whilst at university, including charity work as a strategy consultant for 180 Degrees Consulting. Aaron has a degree in Economics from the University of Bristol.

Jack joined the Marketing and Client Services team in 2022 having previously interned at Lindsell Train in 2020. During the intervening period, Jack worked at MAN Group within Investment Analytics. Jack has a degree in Economics from Bournemouth University.

Rory Landman

Non-Executive Director

Rory joined the board of Lindsell Train Limited as a Non-Executive Director in March 2023.  Rory previously served as a director of the Lindsell Train Investment Trust from 2011 to 2020. He has over 35 years of wide-ranging investment experience, including most recently as Senior Bursar of Trinity College, Cambridge University, and as a leading manager of emerging markets equities at Thames River Capital and Baring Asset Management.  Rory is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a law degree from Cambridge University.

Henry Pickering

Operations Analyst

Henry joined Lindsell Train in 2023 as an Operations Analyst. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, he previously worked in various Operations’ roles at T. Rowe Price (2022 – 2023) and J O Hambro Capital Management (2017 – 2022). Henry joined the financial services industry in 2015. He has also completed the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC).

Jolene Carthy

Office Management Executive

Jolene joined Lindsell Train in 2023 as Office Manager. Prior to joining Lindsell Train, she held administrative roles within the asset management and aviation sectors. Jolene has over six years of international hospitality experience and a further six years in office administration.  Jolene is also a volunteer with a London children’s charity.
